Your Dream Band/Side-Project

Sorry, again I had to split my selections into 2 groups. Would have been impossible otherwise because I love both genres of music. Even though it is probably wrong of me to categorise, because at the end of the day it's all metal.

Prog/Power band
Roy Khan (Kamelot) - vocals
Andy La Rocque (King Diamond) - guitar
Snowy Shaw (Dream Evil) - drums
George Lynch (Lynch Mob) - guitar
Steve DiGiorgio (Control Denied) - bass
Richard Anderson (Majestic) - keyboards

Death/Thrash
Chuck Schuldiner (Death) - vocal/guitar
Richard Christy (Death) - drums
Peter Wichers (Soilwork) - guitar
Steve DiGiorgio (Death) - bass
Steiner Johnsen (Arcturus) - keyboards

Favourite Guitar playing in a song

A tough one, but I would have to say Andy La Rocque's lead on a track off The Eye called Into The Convent. His lead arrangement is just brilliant. Actually all the leads he does on that album were unbelievably arranged. Each one had a melody that really captured my imagination and was played to perfection. What more can I say.

What got you into Metal?

Kiss, and the early death/thrash metal scene in Germany. Bands like Kreator, Destruction and Sodom.

Defining Moments in Music

When Spiritual Healing was released it changed my view about the whole metal scene in general. It showed that what ever style of metal you might play there are no limits or boundaries. The only limit was your own creativity.

Where do you see the future of Metal?

Hard to say. At present there is no genre which is big, like, say the early nineties was for Death Metal. At the moment the bands that aren't afraid to experiment are the bands that seem to be grabbing the metal audience.
