Hey there
We'll be playing our first show in 13 months this Friday, and
for many of you (who didn't make it to the gig in Frankston)
it's been an even longer wait! We'll be blasting through a set
of your favourites, as well as some new material from the
forthcoming album, so don't miss this! It's at
Metal Central
- Melbourne's Monthly Metal Club, at the Central Club Hotel
(293 Swan St, Richmond).
We'll be on around 11pm, but get there early and check out some
metal from Tasmania. Taberah will be on around 9pm, so
show your support for our brothers from across the pond, and
show them what a great metal scene Melbourne has!
Take care, and hope to see you on the night!

Greetings all
To say this is well overdue would be an understatement. But we are back and ready to unleash our new CD titled "THE INCEPTION OF DARKNESS"!
Release will be some time around September - October this year, and we will be revealing more and more details as the release date approaches.
So what has been happening behind the scenes, and why the long silence? We just wanted to step back and really focus on the writing of the new album. We took a totally different approach to "The Unseen", which was written and recorded in six months. The new material is by far some of the darkest and most complex music we have ever written, so there was a lot of time spent on every little detail. Another major reason is that Kosta needed time to set up his home studio, where all the preproduction was done, and most of the instruments were recorded.
We are really looking forward to getting back on stage, and we can announce that we will be supporting the mighty Blind Guardian on their Australian tour, along with our very close friends Black Majesty.
Blind Guardian tour dates:
Friday 30th September at The Factory Theatre, Sydney
Sunday 2nd October at Billboard The Venue, Melbourne
Last month we had a fantastic photo shoot at the amazing Montsalvat Castle, so we'll get some pics up soon; and if you head over to www.youtube.com/eyechannel, you can check out footage of Seb performing parts of the new songs on the piano in the Great Hall.
Thank you all for your patience and support!

Hi all
We have an upcoming gig on Friday 27th August at the Bayside Bar in Frankston. Also playing is the Judas Priest cover band British Steel, so it promises to be an entertaining night of original progressive metal and classic traditional metal. Hope to see you down there!

Greetings everyone
It's time to start revealing some of the news we promised a few weeks ago.
EYEFEAR and Intromental Management have decided in mutual agreement to stop the collaboration. Both parties believe the time has come for the band to seek new opportunities after the demise of their former record label Dockyard 1. We want to thank Claus and Lars for 7 great years of work and spreading the name of EYEFEAR across the world.
Writing is well under way for the new (as yet untitled) album,
and we will be revealing more news in the comings days.

Greetings everyone
It sure has been a while since we have had any updates posted, and going by the amount of e-mails we have received, I guess we better post some news!
There has been a lot going on behind the scenes, which unfortunately we can not get into at the moment, but rest assured all will be revealed very soon. This has slowed down the writing process somewhat, but there will be some major changes in the band - but not line up changes! Once it is all sorted, which will not be long, we will let you all know.
One
thing we can tell you all, of course, is that we will be playing
with our very close friends
Black Majesty
for their CD launch. We are really looking forward to the night
and hope to see you all there. Stay tuned for more news in the
coming weeks !!!

Greetings
'09 is now over, and what a year it has been for EYEFEAR! We have seen the arrival of 2 very talented guys, Evan and Seb, and we played more shows this year than we have in the last 5!!!!
The only thing missing was a trip overseas and, yes, we did get very close to playing at ProgPower Scandinavia but, unfortunately, it wasn't to be.
Which brings us to 2010. At the moment we are taking a few weeks off and we will then begin writing for the new album. We are also organising some very special shows which we really do hope we can pull off because we think they are way overdue (but more on this later).
As for the direction of the new album well, all we can say for now is expect something even darker than "The Unseen". One element we really would like to add to the new album is a little more speed, but time will tell.
Screamfest was an absolute blast, and it was great hanging out with all the bands. We think we played our best show for quite some time, and the crowd was simply amazing. Thank you so much for your support, and a big thank you to Just Say Rock for not only having us on the bill, but for putting on a very good festival that was very professionally run.
Last
but not least, we would like to thank you all for your
support; it has been a great year, and you all played a big
part.

G'day once again
We'd like to welcome the newest member of EYEFEAR - Seb Schneider!!
We
are extremely happy to have found someone that not only is a
great musician, but will contribute to the writing process for
the next album and, just as important, is a great guy. It really
feels like a fresh start with both
Seb and
Evan now in the band
and we are really looking forward to playing some great shows in
the next few months and then of course begin writing the next
album. Here a few words from
Seb himself:
"As the new keyboard player for EYEFEAR,
I feel extremely
privileged to have been asked to come on board to replace the
awesome Sammy Giaccotto, whose previous work with the band has
been phenomenal, and whose shoes will be challenging to fill.
But after many a rehearsal with the boys I'm sure we'll have a
lot of fun, and hopefully many more years to create the kind of
music EYEFEAR have been recognised for over the last decade.
Personally, I'm looking forward to bringing a fresh element to
the band, and can only hope that you guys out there won't be
disappointed.
Hope to see you at the shows!
Seb Schneider"
In other news, we'll be playing again in a month's time at The Corner Hotel as part of the "Festival Of The Frog" on Friday 31st July. It looks to be a great night, with a big and diverse lineup. Check out the poster below for all the details. Hope to see you down there! Cheers.

Hello once again
It
is with great regret that our long time keyboard player Sammy
Giaccotto has decided to leave
EYEFEAR.
We wish him all the best and thank him for his contribution.
It's been an awesome ride!!!!!! Below is Sammy's statement:
"Life is
full of many decisions, and this was by far one of the most
difficult I’ve had to make.
I have decided to leave
EYEFEAR
so I may
concentrate more on music recording/production and less on live
performance, etc. This is not to say that I wont be performing
live anymore, I'm sure that in the future I will submit to
creativity and write and record a studio album to play live once
or twice, this project may even include some
EYEFEAR
members, who
knows!
I’d like to thank all those both here at home and overseas for
supporting
EYEFEAR
and myself. All
my family and friends, bands we’ve played shows with, both here
and overseas, venues, promoters, industry people, media people,
soundguys, etc. And of course, the fans and music lovers who go
to gigs and support bands like EYEFEAR , you all rock! All those
involved in helping the band in any way, thank you.
Thanks to Claus and Lars from Intromental management, for
believing in
EYEFEAR
and doing all you
can. Keep up the great work guys. Thanks to all the gang at
Dockyard1.
A special thanks to the members of EYEFEAR, Danny, Con, Zain,
Rob (ex-bass player) and Evan. I consider you all as family and
wont forget the killer times we had both on and off stage! It’s
been a blast!
I wish you all the best.
Regards,
Sammy G"
On the positive side, we will be introducing our new keyboard player in the next few days. Catch you then.

Greetings everybody
It has been a while since we have posted any news so, as expected, there is lots to fill you in with.
Firstly, there has been another line-up change in the band. We will be introducing the new member who has joined in the next few days. All we can say for now is that he is an unbelievable talent and will not disappoint.
Also, we have a heap of shows we will be announcing over the next few weeks. We're sure a lot of you have already heard that we will be performing at this year's Australian Metal Awards in Sydney. We are really looking forward to what should be a great night. Details below.
We are also waiting for confirmations for shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, so once we have all the details confirmed, we will let you all know.
Lastly, we're pleased to tell you that we will be supporting Queensryche in Melbourne and Sydney!
Thanks
for all the mail we have been receiving over the last few weeks.
It's great to see that people haven't forgotten about us!
